Little Monkey!

hello godwins, I am now developing my little monkey skills..... and have officially wrapped mummy round my little finger.

Nanny has brought me a little monkey stool, which mummy says she will put in the naughty corner... I think I will be sitting on my naughty monkey stool quite a lot! nanny says that mummys childhood has come back to haunt her!!!

it's all such fun........

It's me little baby Isla Franchesca Robbins, I came to join you on 3rd May at 9.04 a.m. @ 6llb 10 oz. I can't wait to meet you all, but I am going to wear my mummy & daddy out first because I am so excited that I don't like to sleep much......

Nanny says I am like a little bird, Mummy says I look like daddy & daddy says I pull faces & frown just like mummy & Uncle eddie cuddles me and looks in disbelief like he has won the lottery....

The framework, the shell still intact, but hollow, the life blood gone,
Summer’s warmth dissipated in the Autumn mists –
My family home now diminished by the absence of those
Whose presence warmed and enveloped all who came.

No voice of welcome echoes through the rooms.
The teapot stands empty.
No one cooks with love.

And yet our memories will forever warm and bind us as a family,
Glued by the love received through all the years.

I wander from room to room.
Here I slept, read, played,
Secure in family bonds too strong to break.
Here I dressed for my wedding, nursed my new born babies and finally
Cared for those who for so long cared for me.

I gaze from the window and look onto the old shed and yard
Where childhood games played out our sense of fun.
We fought the injuns, hid from foes and built our beanpole dens.
Strains of skiffle, rock and pop still echo in our minds
And the ghost of a blue curtained van forever haunts the yard.

We have lost the family home but
Cannot lose the love we shared within its walls.
Here others will live out their dreams
Whilst we move on.

Yes I know the beginning of February is a bit late to say Happy New Year but hey! I hope everyone is well and enjoying the start of the year. I'm not sure thats possible as it is so grey and damp here- but its February so whats new.
Hi Dawn and Todd- love your pics! It was good to see a couple of Chicago. I never did get to talk to you before we went in September but we had a great time. Its a very cool city.

And PLEASE PLEASE keep posting. Lets try to keep this up as its nice for everyone to read. Its good to know what every one is up to. Anyone who hasnt posted- you should!! Its very easy!!

Christmas Spirit!

Its a very busy time for me at the moment with everyone buying Christmas presents! On a trip to the bank today in nipped into Borders and bought these lovely Santa russian dolls. Now anthony and I are pretty useless when if comes to Christmas decorations but I thought this was a nice start for this year!
